October 13th the 6th International Bijlmerdraughtstournament will start, again organized by Achfaaq Mohamedjoesoef, president from the Dutch/Surinam Draughtsclub Gandhi.
One day before the tournament starts, the General Assembly from the FMJD, the global draughts federation, will take place, reason why the tournament even more than other years will get an international character.

The winner from the Open Mastergroup will qualify for the Grandmastergroup of the 7th Bijlmerdraughtstournament in 2003.
